ECI Issues Notification for 1st Phase Polls in Odisha, Nomination Starts for 4 LS, 28 Assembly Seats

Bhubaneswar: Filing of nomination started as a notification was issued on Thursday for the first phase elections in Odisha on May 13.

As per the ECI notification, the filing of nominations will start from Thursday till April 25. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be held on April 26. The last date for withdrawal of nominations is April 29.

Voting for four Lok Sabha constituencies, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Koraput, and Berhampur as well as 28 Assembly seats will take place on May 13 in the first phase.

The second, third and fourth phase elections in Odisha will be held on May 20, May 25 and June 1, respectively.

The Odisha government has already declared holidays for its employees on May 13, May 20, May 25 and June 1 to enable them to cast their votes.
