ED Summons Kapil Sharma, Huma Qureshi, Shraddha Kapoor in Mahadev Betting App Case

New Delhi: Actor Huma Qureshi and comedian Kapil Sharma requested for more time to appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for interrogation in the Mahadev betting app case.

Both were summoned by the ED on Thursday in connection with its money laundering investigation related to the betting app case.

Huma Qureshi allegedly promoted the app and Kapil Sharma entertained guests at a wedding of a promoter of the app in Dubai.

The probe agency also issued summons to actors Ranbir Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor and Hina Khan in relation to the probe. Ranbir Kapoor had also sought two weeks’ time to appear for questioning.

Several Bollywood stars attended the wedding ceremony of Mahadev Book app promoter, Sourabh Chandrakar, in UAE, in February this year.

Mahadev Book app was involved in large-scale money laundering through a layered web of benami bank accounts.
