“Election King” Padmarajan Files Nomination Against Telangana CM for 237th Poll Defeat!

Hyderabad: With a track record of 236 defeats in various polls he contested in the country, K Padmarajan from Tamil Nadu has put in his nomination as an independent in the Gajwel constituency to contest against the Telangana CM in the November 30 assembly polls in Telangana.

Padmarajan is popularly known as “Election King”. He has contested and been defeated in elections ranging from local bodies to presidential, spread across states like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, UP and Delhi.

He owns a tyre repair shop and also claims to be a homoeopathy physician. He contested the polls for the first time in the Mettur constituency in Tamil Nadu in the 1988 assembly elections. In the past, he has contested against former Prime Ministers Atal Bihari Vajpayee, PV Narasimha Rao, and Rahul Gandhi.

His affidavit says he has Rs 1,10,000 worth of movable assets, including a moped and an annual income of Rs 1 lakh.
