Even after Political Split Ajit Pawar Visits Sharad Pawar’s House to See Aunt After Surgery

Mumbai: In an interesting development, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar visited Sharad Pawar’s Silver Oak residence to see his aunt Pratibha Pawar, reported The Statesman. NCP founder Sharad Pawar’s wife Pratibha Pawar, recently underwent surgery at the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on Friday.

Ajit Pawar is the nephew of Sharad Pawar. It was his first visit to his uncle’s home after he split the NCP on July 2 to join the Eknath Shinde government along with eight other NCP MLAs.

It is said that Ajit Pawar is close to his aunt Pratibha, who is called  ‘kaki’ by NCP leaders. Although Pratibha Pawar never jumped into active politics, she is said to be a key element in the NCP.

Chhagan Bhujbal, of the Ajit Pawar camp, who is a minister in the Maharashtra cabinet had also expressed concerns over Pratibha Pawar’s health and said, “I pray for her speedy recovery and would urge party’s activists to wish for her well-being,” he said.

On Friday, Ajit Pawar managed to get the finance and planning department for himself and six other key departments for his other colleagues in the cabinet.
