Father, Son Die in Scooter Accident in Keonjhar, Kin Dies in Shock

Keonjhar: A family suffered a double tragedy as a man and his son were killed in a road accident near Pipilia square under Ghatagaon police station in Odisha’s Keonjhar district on Friday. Hearing the news about the accident, another family member suffered a heart attack and passed away.

Kande Munda (57) and his son Laxman Munda (35) from Barigaon village died when the scooter on which they were travelling to Bankapatuli vegetable market was hit by a truck. Both died on the spot.

Tragedy for the family got aggravated when Laxman’s uncle Samara Munda suffered a major heart attack after hearing the news about the deaths in the accident. He also breathed his last.

Locals blocked the NH20 at the spot of the accident demanding compensation for the family. Vehicular movement was stalled on the road, till police reached the spot and pacified the angry mob.
