Four Odia Workers Rescued from Uttarakhand Tunnel Reach Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Four Odia workers who were among the 41 rescued from the collapsed Uttarakhand tunnel after 17 days, reached Bhubaneswar airport on November 28.

They were welcomed by at the Biju Patnaik Airport in Bhubaneswar by Odisha Labour Minister Sarada Prasad Nayak and various labour organizations.

The five workers from Odisha, who were stranded in the collapsed tunnel were Dhiren Nayak of Badakudar and Bisweswar Nayak of Jogibandh in Mayurbhanj, Raju Nayak of Kuldiha in Balasore, Bhagaban Bhotra of Nabarangpur, Tapan Mandal of Bhadrak district.

All of them except Tapan Mandal reached Odisha. Tapan is said to have stayed back with one of his relatives in Uttarakhand.
