5 Odia Workers Rescued from UttaraKhand Tunnel Leave AIIMS Rishikesh to Reach Odisha Via Delhi

Rishikesh: All 41 workers who were rescued from the Silkyara tunnel were declared fit by the AIIMS-Rishikesh on Thursday and dwere allowed to return home.

Following it, the five rescued Odia workers have started their journey back home. According to sources, they will first reach Delhi and from there they will travel to Odisha.

All these workers were thoroughly examined and their blood test, X-ray, and ECG reports were found to be normal by the doctors at AIIMS Rishikesh. So, they were given clearance to return home.

The workers were rescued from the tunnel on Tuesday night after 17 days. All of them have been advised to visit their nearest hospital after two weeks for a check-up.

Doctors from AIIMS-Rishikesh will stay connected with the workers through telemedicine to monitor their mental health for the next few weeks.

The rescued workers include five from Odisha, 15 from Jharkhand, three from West Bengal, two each from Uttarakhand and Assam, and one from Himachal Pradesh.
