Godman Arrested for Raping & Blackmailing Women in Delhi

New Delhi: A self-proclaimed godman was arrested by Delhi Police in connection with two cases of sexual assault filed by two women devotees.

The 33-year-old accused named Vinod Kashyap, was running an ashram named Mata Masani Chowki Darbar in the Kakrola area of Delhi. His YouTube channel has a large number of subscribers.

According to police sources, he insisted the women devotees to perform ‘guru seva’ to get rid of their problems. He then sexually exploited the women sexually and warned them against disclosing or reporting the incident to anyone.

Two cases were registered against the arrested godman under sections 376 and 506 of the IPC. Further investigation is underway.
