Hot Days Ahead in Odisha, Temp May touch 43-44 degree Celsius by April 17

Bhubaneswar: Although interior parts of Odisha experienced the coldest day of April on Thursday, the state is going to face extreme heat in coming days.

According to the latest forecast by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre in Bhubaneswar, the day temperature will increase by 6 to 8 degree Celsius for the next four days with the impact of dry air from the west and north-west direction after April 13. The temperature is expected to rise to 43-44 degree Celsius by April 17.

Talking to the media, senior Scientist at IMD Bhubaneswar, Umasankar Das said, “After April 13, the temperature will start rising and may reach 43-44 degrees by April 17. There will be higher humidity in the coastal regions.”

While the maximum temperature remained below 32 degree Celsius in most places across Odisha on Thursday, the IMD has predicted the return of hotter days again.
