IED Blast Injures 3 Security Personnel Involved in Anti-Maoist Operation in Boudh

Boudh: Three jawans were injured in an IED blast at Batepanga forest on the Boudh-Kandhamal border on Friday.

The injured jawans were part of a group of security personnel involved in an anti-Maoist combing operation in the area following intelligence reports about the presence of some ultras.

According to Boudh SP, Raj Prasad, the three jawans received minor injuries in the IED blast.

In December 2023, an exchange of fire between Maoists and the security forces occurred during a combing operation at Nalikumbha forest under Manmunda police limits in Boudh district.

On December 24 last year, two jawans of the Special Operations Group (SOG) were injured in the explosion of an IED in the Kandhamal district.
