Asian Games 2023: India Bags 3 More Bronze Medals, Athletes Aim for Podium Glory

Hangzhou: India secured three bronze medals on Monday at the 2023 Asian Games, with more action to come in athletics. The country has now amassed 56 medals, and reaching 100 seems achievable with six days remaining.

In table tennis, Sutirtha Mukherjee and Ayhika Mukherjee reached the women’s doubles semi-finals but settled for a bronze medal, marking India’s third in the sport at the Asian Games.

Skating also contributed to India’s medal tally, with the women’s team winning bronze in the speed skating 3000m relay, and the men’s team securing bronze in the men’s speed skating 300m relay.

Meanwhile, the Indian men’s hockey team advanced to the semi-finals after a dominant 12-0 victory over Bangladesh in their final Pool A match.
