India Bags First Medal at 19th Asian Games: Silver in Women’s 10m Air Rifle

Hangzhou: India won its first medal at the 19th Asian Games, a silver in women’s 10m air rifle team event. Ramita, Mehuli Ghosh, and Ashi Chouksey scored 1886 to finish second behind China.

Ramita led the team with a score of 631.9, while Mehuli contributed 630.8 points, and Ashi Chouksey added 623.3 points to their tally.

In the individual event qualification, Mehuli and Ramita also performed exceptionally well, finishing 2nd and 5th, respectively.

Notably, China’s Han Jiayu set a new Asian Record during the qualification round with a score of 634.1.

The final standings in the women’s 10m Air Rifle team event saw China clinching the gold medal with a score of 1896.6, while Mongolia secured the bronze with a total score of 1880.
