Apple to Create Over 5 Lakh Jobs in India Through Vendors in 3 Years

New Delhi: iPhone maker Apple is expected to significantly boost its job creation in India through its vendor network.

According to government sources, Apple’s vendors and suppliers will employ over five lakh (500,000) people in India over the next three years. This marks a substantial increase from the current 1.5 lakh people employed.

This job growth is fueled by Apple’s plans to scale up iPhone production in India. The company aims to increase production by over five-fold to around USD 40 billion in the next four to five years.

This expansion will not only create new jobs but also solidify Apple’s position in the Indian market, where it recently captured the top spot for revenue in 2023.
