iPhone 15 Pro Max Likely To Have a 5x Foldable Periscope Camera Lens

San Francisco: A periscope folding zoom camera is likely to be incorporated in Apple’s forthcoming smartphone, the iPhone 15 Pro Max, however, it will only be available in the top-variant models o the iPhone.

According to AppleInsider, the tech giant was expected to add a folding zoom camera system in the iPhone 14 lineup.

However, leading mobile camera module supplier LG Innotek and camera module components manufacturer Jahwa Electronics will both provide this system for the iPhone 15 Pro Max, according to industry sources.

The iPhone’s exterior is unlikely to be noticeably altered by a folding zoom camera system, and the camera bulge may still exist.

Instead, it could make use of a mirror or prism that is anticipated to function like a periscope and would allow the system to utilise the entire length and width of the iPhone.

According to the article, the rumoured system is anticipated to make its debut in the iPhone 15 Pro Max in 2024 and is also likely to appear in both the iPhone 16 Pro Max and the iPhone 16 Pro.

The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max versions are expected to have new features including solid-state buttons with haptic feedback, a titanium frame, and better RAM, according to a report from earlier this month.
