Top Hamas Commander Gunned Down; Israeli Forces Ready for Coordinated Offensive in Gaza

Gaza: Amidst the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, the Israel Defence Force (IDF) has declared its readiness for a coordinated operation within the Gaza Strip, involving air, ground, and naval forces. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent visit to troops near the Gaza border signalled an imminent escalation, stating that “more is coming.”

Israeli airstrikes continued in Gaza on Saturday night, resulting in the elimination of a senior Hamas commander, Billal al-Qedra, who held a prominent position within Hamas’s elite military wing, the Nukhba force.

The situation has led to tens of thousands of Palestinians evacuating northern Gaza, fearing an impending ground offensive by Israel. Tragically, the combined death toll has now exceeded 3,500.
