Sriharikota: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), achieved a significant milestone with the successful execution of the second orbit-raising manoeuvre for the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft.
This critical Earth-bound apogee firing operation has propelled the spacecraft into a new orbit of 41,603 km X 226 km.
The ISRO, headquartered in India, confirmed this development on Monday. The next firing is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, between 2 pm and 3 pm.
The Chandrayaan-3 mission, which aims to reach the Moon, was launched on July 14.
