Kerala Janapaksham (Secular) Party Planning to Merge with BJP

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Janapaksham (Secular) party is planning to merge with the BJP. Supremo of the Kerala Janapaksham (Secular), PC George, a seven-time member of the Kerala Legislative Assembly and United Democratic Front (UDF) Chief Whip in the Oomen Chandy government, is said to be in talks with the BJP for merger of his party.

Speaking to newsmen, George, on Tuesday, confirmed that his party was involved with the BJP’s national leaders regarding the plan of merger. According to him, his party members want to be part of the BJP and the decision regarding the merger of the party with the BJP would be taken ahead of the Lok Sabha polls.

“Our party members wish for this merger. If such a decision is taken, it won’t be a merger “as ours is a very small party and it would be like a small stream joining a river. India is fortunate to have one of the best prime ministers in its history. Party activists have opined that we should support him,” George said.
