Koraput Man Stabs Father-in-Law to Death Over Family Dispute

Koraput: A man allegedly stabbed his father-in-law to death over a family quarrel at Basnaput village under Narayanapatna police station limits in Odisha’s Koraput district on Thursday night.

The deceased identified as Ramachandra Uluka, was allegedly murdered by his son-in-law Shatu Praska.

According to reports, Shatu’s wife was pregnant and was staying with her parents. On Thursday night, Shatu went to meet his wife and found that she was admitted to a local medical center because of labour pain.

Shatu was enraged over the matter and blamed his father-in-law for admitting her to the hospital without consulting him. A heated altercation occurred between the two.

All of a sudden, Shatu took out a knife and stabbed his father-in-law repeatedly. Ramchandra was rushed to the hospital, where he died.

After receiving information, a police team has reached the village for an investigation.
