LAccMI Bus Service from All Districts to Puri Expected from March

Puri: The Odisha government has decided to extend LAccMI bus service from all district headquarters to Puri, the abode of Lord Jagannath in a few months. According to reports, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will launch this special bus service for the benefit of devotees of Sri Jagannath before March 2024.

According to sources, these LAccMI buses will connect 30 district headquarters and Puri via Bhubaneswar. It will ease the travel of devotees across the state to Puri for the darshan of the deities.

For this project, the Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) is expected to procure 122 new buses at a cost of Rs 260.40 crore. The State Transport Department is said to have started the process for it.
