Lagaan, Devdas Art Director Nitin Desai Ends Life at His Studio

Mumbai: Famous art director of Bollywood Nitin Desai was found hanging at his N.D. Studios in Mumbai early on Wednesday.

He was a top-rung art director in Bollywood. He was the art director for hit films like ‘Devdas’, ‘Lagaan’, ‘Jodhaa Akbar’, ‘Harishchandrachi Factory’, ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’, etc. He has also won four national awards for art direction.

His life ended just three days before his 58th birthday on August 6.

Top Bollywood personalities mourned his sudden demise.

Police rushed to the spot and seized the body for investigations and to ascertain the real cause of his death.

Police are also investigating whether it was a case of suicide or if there was any foul play.
