Goods Train Derails in Angul As a Boulders Fall on Engine & Track

Angul: A freight train derailed between Handapa and Bainda in Angul district on Wednesday. This derailment occurred as a boulder fell on the railway track. The boulders may have got loose and fallen from the hilly terrain because of the incessant rains.

According to reports, the fallen boulders hit the engine of the goods train causing the derailment.

Receiving information, railway officials rushed to the spot to initiate the restoration work.
