Angul Youth Attempts Suicide After Repeated Losses in Online Gaming

Angul: A youth named Soumyaranjan Naik from Jereng village under Angul’s Jarapada police station limits allegedly attempted to commit suicide after losing three online games.

As per reports, Naik was addicted to playing games online. He lost his mental balance after three consecutive losses and tried to end his life by slitting his own throat with a razor.

An injured Naik was admitted to the Angul District Headquarters Hospital.

He tried to slit his throat at on Friday afternoon and the villagers admitted him to the hospital at around 7 pm. As per the treating doctors, the condition of Naik is stable.
