Shocking! Mother Arrested for Killing Her Twin Babies by Throwing Them in Well in Angul

Angul: In a shocking turn of events, the mother of the dead twin babies recovered from a well in Bantala in Odisha’s Angul district was arrested by police on charges of murder on Thursday.

The accused Tapaswini Sahoo was arrested following allegations made by her family members. They alleged that Tapaswini had thrown the babies into the well. But the reason behind this gruesome act is yet to be ascertained.

On Wednesday, the bodies of the twins, a boy and a girl, were recovered from a well in Mundadhipi Sahi of Basala village under the Bantala police station limits. The twins were three to four months old.

Tapaswini and her husband Sunil Sahoo were blessed with twins after ten years of their marriage. So, it is unclear why Tapaswini resorted to such a gruesome act.

Earlier Tapaswini had then claimed that her babies went missing when she had gone to the neighbours’ house after putting them to sleep. Later villagers found the bodies of the twins floating in a well.
