Bodies of Twin Babies Discovered in Well Under Mysterious Circumstances in Angul Dist

Angul: The bodies of twin babies were found in a well in Basala village under Bantala police station limits of Angul district on Wednesday.

The deceased infants were a boy and a girl. The twins were around 3-4 months old. They were babies of Sunil Sahoo and Tapaswini Sahoo of the village.

It is alleged that the babies went missing when Tapaswini went to her neighbour’s house after putting them to sleep. She and her husband along with others tried hard to find out the babies. Later the bodies of the twin infants were found floating in the well. The babies were rushed to the Bantala Community Health Centre (CHC), where doctors declared them ‘brought-dead’.

It is suspected that someone took the babies from the couple’s house and threw them into the well. Local police have started investigation into the incident.
