PM Releases 6 Special Postage Stamps Dedicated to Ram Temple & Album of Lord Ram Stamps of other countries

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday released six special postage stamps dedicated to the Ram Temple in Ayodhya as well as an album showcasing stamps on Lord Ram by other countries.

He said postal stamps are miniatures of history. “With today’s postal stamps youngsters will get an opportunity to know and learn about a lot. These stamps feature elements from the Ram Mandir which signal good wishes for the nation’s welfare, the image of the Sun which blesses the world to shine, the image of Saryu river which gives us the message to keep flowing. Nuances of the temple have been craftily embossed on these stamps,” PM said.

“Across countries and civilisations there has been a great enthusiasm about Ramayana. Today’s stamp releases reveal how Lord Ram, Ma Sita are seen with pride worldwide,” he added.

Emphasizing the global appeal of Lord Ram, the PM said, “America, Canada, Australia, Cambodia, the Czech Republic, Fiji, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Thailand, Guyana, Singapore, and many other countries have, with a lot of affection, issued postal stamps on various aspects related to Lord Rama’s life.”
