Lok Sabha Security Breach: Perpetrators Identified and Arrested

New Delhi: In a shocking incident at the Lok Sabha today, two individuals breached security and entered the parliament chamber, causing chaos and disrupting proceedings. The arrested individuals have been identified as Sagar Sharma and D Manoranjan. Two others, Neelam and Amol Shinde, were detained outside the Parliament building.

Details about the motives and intentions of the individuals remain unclear. However, initial reports suggest that Manoranjan, a computer science graduate from Mysuru, and Neelam, a civil services aspirant from Haryana, are among those detained.

The incident unfolded at approximately 1:02 PM when one individual jumped from the visitors’ gallery into the chamber, while another remained in the gallery. Both individuals deployed canisters emitting yellow smoke, causing panic and confusion among Members of Parliament.

A video circulating online captured the intruder in the chamber jumping over desks in an attempt to evade capture. He was eventually apprehended by MPs with the assistance of security personnel.

Opposition parties have expressed concern for their safety and questioned the effectiveness of security measures in place. They have also raised questions about the potential toxicity of the smoke used by the intruders.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has assured a thorough investigation into the incident. The anti-terror cell of the Delhi Police is leading the investigation, and notable officials, including Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora, are present at the Parliament building.
