Man Beats Wife to Death With Metal Bucket in Balasore

Balasore: A man allegedly beat his wife to death with a metal bucket in the Balasore district on Monday morning.

According to reports, after a marital quarrel, the accused Sanjay Mohanty beat his wife Kavita to death at the Bania village under Jaleshwar police station limits.

Police have detained Sanjay. According to sources, Sanjay and his wife had quarreled on Sunday over some domestic matters. On Monday morning, Sanjay hit Kavita’s head repeatedly with a metal bucket, when she came out of the bathroom.

Kavita cried for help and later fell unconscious. Neighbours rescued and rushed Kavita to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead.

Sanjay reportedly married Kavita around 14 years back.
