Manish Malhotra to Direct Meena Kumari Biopic, Kriti Shanon May Play the Lead

Mumbai: Fashion designer Manish Malhotra will make his debut as a director through a biopic on the immortal Bollywood actress of yesteryears, Meena Kumari.

As per reports, Kriti Sanon may star as Meena Kumari in this biopic. This yet-to-be-titled cinematic tribute to Meena Kumari will be produced by Bhushan Kumar.

The biopic is in its scripting stage. As per reports, Kriti Sanon has been approached to play the role of the legendary actress.

Meena Kumari started acting as a child artist when she was only four years old. She was married to filmmaker Kamal Amrohi. She acted in over 90 films and was well known as the tragedy queen. She passed away at the age of 38.

Kriti Sanon will next seen in Tiger Shroff-starrer ‘Ganpath: Part 1.’
