Married Woman Kills Youth Leader Over Forced Illicit Relation in Kandhamal District

Phulbani: The murder mystery of Kandhamal district BJD youth wing vice-president Sanjit Kumar Mallick, who was the son of a sarpanch has been solved by the investigating police officers.

It has been revealed that the youth was murdered by a married woman over an illicit relationship.

Phulbani Sadar SDPO Suprasanna Mallick said in a presser that the accused woman has confessed her crime during interrogation. The accused married woman was arrested from Kanagada Sahi area

The deceased Sanjit alias Pappu was murdered on November 30 night. His body was found at the residence of a PEO on December 1 morning.

Police investigation revealed that Sanjit was having a forced illicit relationship with the accused married woman against her will for more than a year.

Sanjit was also threatening to defame the woman by revealing their extramarital affair. He had taken some money from the accused which he was not returning.

To eradicate Sanjit from her life, the woman called Sanjit to the PEO’s residence on November 30 night and had a physical relationship with him while he was in an inebriated state.  Then the woman asphyxiated him to death with a pillow. Later she buried Sanjit’s phone at a secluded place, which has been recovered.
