Miscreants Loot Hundi of Sarala Temple in Jagatsinghpur Dist

Jagatsinghpur: Some unidentified miscreants allegedly broke open the hundi at the famous Sarala Temple in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district, on Wednesday night.

The broken open donation box was discovered on Thursday morning. Local police have started an investigation into the incident and footage from the CCTVs installed at the temple is being thoroughly studied to identify the culprits.

It is alleged that the miscreants managed to make an easy entry into the temple premises because of the demolition of some portion of the temple for the beautification work taken up under the 5T initiative of the state government.

It was found that the miscreants used a metal cutter to break the lock of the hundi and stole around a portion of the money inside it.
