Miscreants Loot Hundi of Baladevjew Temple Keonjhar

Keonjhar: Unidentified miscreants allegedly looted cash and valuables from the hundi of the Baladevjew Temple in Odisha’s Keonjhar on Thursday night.

The real amount stolen is yet to be ascertained. But the servitors of the temple claim that cash worth around Rs 40,000 may have been taken away from the hundi.

On Friday morning, the priests of the temple found the lock of the donation box broken. According to police sources, the CCTV camera installed near the hundi was not functioning, which has made the detection of the miscreants challenging.

All gates of the temple were open during night as construction work is currently underway on the premises. The miscreants took advantage of this to loot the temple hundi. Local police have started an investigation into the matter.
