Cyber Police Unearths Illegal SIM Card Racket in Keonjhar, 4000 SIM Cards Seized, 4 Arrested

Keonjhar: A racket involved in sell of SIM cards illegally was busted by the cyber police team in Keonjhar of Odisha on Thursday. Four persons involved in the racket were arrested. According to the police, this SIM card racket had its tentacles across the country. Around 4000 illegally issued SIM cards linked to this racket have been seized from different regions of the country.

The arrested persons were identified as Rajkishore Jena, Tapan Kumar Jena, and Subrat Kumar Jena of Khadibili village under Ghashipura police station limits, and Pradeep Mishra of Saikukul village under Ramachandrapur police station limits.

The Cyber Police seized 538 SIM cards, 18 mobile phones, and seven chequebooks from the possession of the arrested accused persons.
