Bhubaneswar: Odisha is expected to experience hotter days ahead. According to IMD forescast, the maximum temperatures (day temperatures) will be 3°C-4°C higher than normal in most places across Odisha during the next few days.
The regional center of the IMD in Bhubaneswar has forecast that in several places of Odisha the day temperature will rise to 40°C. The minimum temperatures (night temperatures) will also rise by 2°C -3°C by the beginning of April.
As per the IMD, the day temperature may touch 40°C in Bolangir, Titilagarh, Sundargarh, Malkangiri, Boudh, Angul, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Bhavanipatna, Rayagada, and Gajapati on Saturday.
On the other hand, some districts in northern Odisha will experience thunderstorm during the next four to five days. The IMD has issued a yellow warning for light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, and Jajpur for Friday to Tuesday. During it, the storm’s speed will be 30 to 40 kmph.
