Main Accused of Sarala Temple Hundi Loot Arrested, Rs 1.85 Lakh Seized

Jagatsinghpur: The prime accused behind the Sarala temple hundi loot was arrested by the police on Monday, five days after the incident.

The arrested man was identified as Rusa Mohanty of Keonjhar district. Examination of CCTV footage and interrogation of several persons led to the identification and arrest of Mohanty.

Stolen cash worth over Rs 1.85 lakh taken away from the donation box was seized from the possession of the accused.

On December 13, some miscreants looted money from the hundi at the Sarala Temple.
