Unidentified Miscreants Kill Woman, Injure Her Son & Daughter-In-Law in Jagatsinghpur

Jagatsinghpur: A group of unidentified men thrashed a woman to death and also seriously injured her son and daughter-in-law in Ogarpur village under Balikuda block of Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district on Monday night.

The woman died on the spot, while her critically injured son and daughter-in-law were admitted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

As per reports, miscreants forcefully entered the house of Mania Biswal in Ogarpur village on Monday night and attempted to kill the family. Mania died on the spot, while her son Rakesh and daughter-in-law Subhadra were seriously injured.

The attackers escaped from the spot after the attack.

On being informed Balikuda police reached the spot for investigation.  According to reports, Rakesh had married Subhadra against the wishes of her family. It is suspected that angered over it, the girl’s family may have used hired goons to attack the family.
