Surgery to Enhance Smile Before Marriage Claims Youth’s Life

Hyderabad: A 28-year-old Hyderabad youth died during surgery to enhance his smile ahead of his marriage ceremony.

The deceased identified as Laxmi Narayana Vinjam was to get married after a week. But before that, he wanted to undergo the ‘smile designing’ surgery to make his smile look better. The ‘smile designing surgery’ on the victim was performed at the FMS International Dental Clinic in Hyderabad’s Jubilee Hills on February 1.

Ramulu Vinjam, the father of the deceased Laxmi Narayana Vinjam alleged that his son died of anesthesia overdose.

Ramulu Vinjam said that after his son fainted during the surgery, he was rushed to a nearby hospital, where the doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.

Ramulu did not know that his son was undergoing this cosmetic surgery.

Police have registered a case against the clinic for negligence after his family filed a complaint.
