Agartala: Indian cricketer Mayank Agarwal was rushed to the ILS Hospital in Agartala after falling ill on a New Delhi-bound flight. The Karnataka Ranji Trophy captain experienced a significant health scare, complaining of a throat issue during the journey. Admitted to the ICU, Mayank is currently undergoing treatment.
According to reports, Agarwal underwent tests after vomiting and feeling unwell during the flight. Consequently, he will not participate in the upcoming game against Saurashtra, with the rest of the team proceeding to Rajkot.
Mayank Agarwal, 33, led Karnataka to a 29-run victory against Tripura just a day before this incident. The cause of his sudden illness is yet to be confirmed, and the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) is actively seeking more information.
An official from KSCA revealed, “Mayank Agarwal was rushed to a local hospital in Agartala. The reason for the sudden illness is yet to be confirmed.”
During the flight to Rajkot, Agarwal began feeling uneasy and vomited, prompting him to de-board. KSCA quickly sent representatives to ILS hospital, where he is under observation and undergoing tests.
