Mercury Dropped Below 10°C Odisha’s 16 Places, G.Udaygiri the Coldest

Bhubaneswar: The nighttime temperature dropped below 10°C in at least 16 places in Odisha during the last 24 hours. G Udayagiri in Kandhamal district was the coldest place in Odisha recording a minimum temperature of 4.6°C.

A day back G.Udaygiri recorded this winter season’s lowest minimum temperature of 4 degrees Celsius.

According to the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre, the places in Odisha, where the nighttime temperature dropped below 10°C included Semiliguda (5.6°C), Phulbani (6°C), Kirei (7.1°C), Koraput (7.7°C), Keonjhar (7.8°C), Daringbadi (8°C), Angul (8.6°C), Bhawanipatna (8.6°C), Rourkela (8.7°C), Sundargarh (9°C), Nabarangpur (9°C), Sonepur (9.3°C), Jharsuguda (9.4°C), Ranitaal (9.4°C), and Chipilima (9.8°C).

The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded 13.4 and 13.2 degrees Celsius, respectively.

The weather will not have any significant change in the next 24 hours. However several places may experience shallow to dense fog.
