MiG-29 Fighter Jet of IAF Crashes in Rajasthan, Pilot Ejects Safely

Jaipur: A MiG-29 fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force plane crashed in Rajasthan’s Barmer on Monday during a routine night training mission after developing a snag. According to the IAF, the pilot managed to get ejected safely in time.

“During a routine night training mission in Barmer sector, an IAF MiG-29 encountered a critical technical snag, forcing the pilot to eject. The pilot is safe and no loss of life or property was reported. A Court of Inquiry has been ordered,” the IAF said in a post on X.

The fighter plane crashed away from the residential area at around 10 pm near Barmer’s Uttarlai airbase.

The plane caught fire after a loud explosion. The pilot managed to steer the plane to a deserted place before the crash.
