Miscreants Loot Rs 7 Lakh Worth Ornaments in Broad Daylight in Ganjam Dist

Berhampur: Miscreants looted ornaments worth over Rs 7 lakh from a bike dickey in the Chamakhandi area of Odisha’s Ganjam district on Wednesday.

The loot took place at Narendrapur Square under Chamakhandi police station limits. The miscreants targeted a parked bike owned by a jeweller. While the jeweller was having his breakfast at a roadside eatery, the miscreants broke open the bike dickey and escaped with the bag with the ornaments.

When the jeweller reached his bike after having his food, he found that the dickey was open and the bag with ornaments missing.

Following his complaint at the Chamakhandi police station, police have started an investigation by checking the CCTV footage from the area.
