Missing Toddler’s Body Found in Pond, Suspicion of Foul Play

Balasore: The body of a toddler, who was missing from Raipur village in Soro block of Odisha’s Balasore district from Monday, was discovered in a pond near his house on Tuesday.

A team of police and fire services personnel located the body of the child in a pond near the house.

Locals claimed that there were injury marks on the body of the deceased child. Some suspected that someone may have killed the baby and thrown his body into the pond.

Investigating police officials said the real reason behind the death will be ascertained after the post-mortem.

The deceased was a three-year-old baby named Subham, the son of Mohan Sahu of Raipur village. She went missing while he was playing near his house on Monday. His family members informed the police about the missing child alleging that he may have been kidnapped.
