New Terminal-3 to be Added to Bhubaneswar Airport

Bhubaneswar: A new Terminal-3 will be constructed at the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar, next to the existing terminals, announced Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu on Friday during his review of the airport.

The new terminal is expected to be completed within two years and will feature separate facilities for domestic and international travelers.

At present, the airport in Bhubaneswar has flights to 20 cities across India and four international destinations.

The existing terminal, with a capacity of 40 lakh passengers, is projected to accommodate up to 80 lakh passengers within the next year.

This new terminal is expected to improve air connectivity of Odisha with regions across India, including Jammu, Gujarat, and Andhra Pradesh.

When asked about the proposed Puri Airport, the Union Minister assured that the central government has a clear plan for its development and pledged that the Ministry of Civil Aviation would extend full support for any decisions made by the state government.
