Nithari Serial Killing Accused Pandher Released from Jail Following Acquittal by HC 

New Delhi: Nithari serial killing accused Moninder Singh Pandher was released from Luksar jail in Greater Noida on Friday. Three days this 65-year-old businessman was acquitted by the Allahabad High Court.

The Allahabad High Court on Monday acquitted him and his domestic help Surendra Koli in the sensational 2006 serial murder case with the remark that the prosecution had failed to prove guilt “beyond reasonable doubt”. The court also made the acrid remark that the investigation was “botched up”.

The duo were convicted of rape and murder and sentenced to death in the serial killings in Nithari by the lower court. The Nithari serial killings had shocked the country as it involved inhuman sexual assault, brutal murder and possible cannibalism.
