Noted Linguist Debi Prasanna Pattanayak Chosen for 1st World Odia Language Award

Bhubaneswar: Noted linguist and author Dr Debi Prasanna Pattanayak will be the recipient of the first World Odia Language Award. He will be conferred with the prestigious honour during the first World Odia Language Conference.

The award includes Rs 20 lakh and a citation.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will honour Dr Pattanayak with the award during the three-day conference in recognition of his life-long dedication towards the research and development of the Odia language. Dr Pattanayak’s research has greatly enriched the Odia language.
