Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s ace javelin star Kishore Kumar Jena added another feather to his hat by winning the gold medal at the Indian Grand Prix 5 in Chandigarh on Sunday.
A throw of 82.53 meters fetched him a gold medal in this tournament in Chandigarh.
It may be noted that Kishore had shown his personal best effort through a throw of 84.77 meters in Budapest’s World Athletics Championship two weeks ago.
Odisha athlete Srabani Nanda finished first in the women’s 100m in the Chandigarh tournament with a timing of 11.77 seconds.
