Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena has received a six-month extension in his service period, as confirmed by a recent notification from the General Administration and Public Grievance Department. The extension, effective from January 1, 2024, to June 30, 2024, was officially announced today.

Pradeep Kumar Jena, a seasoned 1989-batch IAS officer, assumed the role of Chief Secretary in Odisha on February 26 of the current year. Originally slated to retire on December 31, the extension comes as a noteworthy development in the administrative landscape of the state.
