Odisha Govt Increases Remuneration of Gana Shikhyaks, Regularizes Services of OTET Passed

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday announced the enhancement of the monthly gratuity of teachers who have not passed OTET from Rs 7,000 to Rs 10,000 per month. This decision will benefit 1,121 teachers.

The government also announced that the services of teachers who have passed OTET will be as regularized as Med Teachers (Ex Cadre). This decision will benefit 12,113 teachers in the state.

In addition to these, Assistant Teachers (Ex Cadre) who are not getting annual increments and the Assistant Teachers (Ex Cadre) who have passed OTET will be given annual increments. This will benefit 9,520 assistant teachers (ex-cadre).

This decision comes a day after increase in the monthly remuneration of workers of Anganwadi and Mini Anganwadi centres by the Odisha government.
