Odisha Government Releases Detailed Guidelines for Subhadra Yojana

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has released detailed guidelines for the Subhadra Yojana, an initiative aimed at empowering women in the state. The scheme, which is set to be launched on September 17, will provide financial assistance to eligible women.

Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for the Subhadra Yojana, women must meet the following criteria:

  • Age: Between 21 and 60 years old as of July 1, 2024.
  • Residence: Must be a resident of Odisha.
  • Income: Annual income must not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh.
  • Asset Ownership: Must not own irrigated land of 5 acres or more, un-irrigated land of 5 acres or more, commercial vehicles, light vehicles, or four-wheelers.
  • Government Benefits: Must not be receiving financial assistance of Rs 1,500 or more per month or Rs 18,000 or more per year under any other government scheme.
  • Public Office: Must not be a sitting or former MP, MLA, elected representative of a Panchayati Raj body or ULB (except ward members and councillors), government employee, or pension holder.

Required Documents:

To apply for the Subhadra Yojana, women must submit the following documents:

  • Aadhaar card
  • Bank account details (Aadhaar-seeded and DBT-enabled)
