Orissa High Court Chief Justice Pledges To Donate Organs on Indian Organ Donation Day

Cuttack: The Chief Justice Orissa High Court, Justice Chakradhari Sharan Singh pledged to donate his organs on the occasion of Indian Organ Donation Day.

He made this organ donation pledge while attending the Indian Organ Donation Day observation at the SCB Medical College in Cuttack.

Justice Singh said, “Organ donation is a noble and selfless act that has the potential to save countless lives. It is essential that we promote awareness and encourage people to come forward and pledge to donate their organs after death. This message needs to reach every nook and corner of our society, including rural areas.”

Families of individuals who have donated organs in recent past were felicitated during the ocacsion.

Dr Manas Ranjan Sahoo, Vice-Chancellor of Odisha University of Health Sciences, declared that organ donation would be included in the MBBS curriculum.

Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling, President of Indian Organ Donation Society Dr Prabhas Acharya, SCB Medical College Superintendent Dr Sudhanshu Sekhar Mishra, were also present as guests during the occasion.
