Orissa High Court Orders Crime Branch Probe into JE Recruitment Question Paper Leak

Cuttack: Through an interim order, the Orissa High Court on Saturday directed the Crime Branch to investigate the question paper leak case of the Junior Engineer (Civil) main examination conducted by the Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC).

The High Court ordered the probe to be conducted under the supervision of a DIG-ranked official. The High Court also raised questions on the use of a Kolkata-based private press for printing of question papers for the government exam in Odisha.

On July 23, the OSSC cancelled the JE (Civil) main examination conducted on July 16 after Balasore SP confirmed the question paper leak.

The commission will hold the examination again on September 3.

Till now 27 arrests have been made in connection to this question paper leak case.
